To Market, To Market...

...to buy a fresh pig, home again, home again, jiggety-jig! So the nursery rhyme goes. Well, no pigs to be bought at the farmers' market we visited this morning, but it was still nice!

This was a different one than the last one I posted about here. This market is in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and you can see the beautiful Hudson River in some of the pics below. Not as many doggies out and about this time, and the bluegrass band was a little too loud for my taste.

I did meet another Portuguese Water Dog; this area seems to have a lot of 'em! She didn't know Bo, either...what's up with that?

The best part about going to the market on Saturday is that usually means a yummy dinner. My human loves to makes a couple side dishes from the great produce she buys, and serve it with something easy on the grill. Tonight was STEAK! I was one happy pup. I got to chew on some meaty bones...

...and I got to eat the steak scaps from the kiddies...one of the many perks of living with small bi-peds!

  1. Wooos! What yummy bones, I am drooling from here. And sad to say I have no little bi-peds to get treats from, just my Mom and you know how Moms are, stingy!

  6. OMD... OMD.. OMD..... !!!

Your mommy was torturing you! BOL *j/k*

Very impressive!!! Can't believe that you can wait for almost 1 minute and being so patiently to wait the "OK" word. If we are the ones, definitely will attack directly the steak.

How did your mommy teach you to "wait", would you share with us the tips and tricks?

  10. Wow, Sedona - it looks like you are having the absolute perfect summer! Swimming, vacation, trips to market, lots of yummy food. You lucky girl! Never pictured the Hudson looking so picturesque - always think of the part that goes through the city - like where the plane had to land!

    Have a great day!

(ps. Had my first puppy training class last night! I think I was the oldest (16 wks), but the other pups were about my size. Mom is really excited about the extra training help! Working on 'velvet mouth' this week.)
